U15 A1s

Semiahmoo U15 A1 Ravens Semiahmoo U15 A1 Ravens had a dominant regular season, winning the league banner, with an Impressive 15-1-3 record, in a very strong division. The season didn't come without its own set of challenges due to Covid-19, Fraser Valley floods, broken bones, concussion protocols and a couple of game misconducts in an extremely physical season. Overcoming this, A1 team's success was aided by Affiliate Players from the U15 A2 team, throughout the year, which saw 7 different players contribute with a combined 21 games played and scoring 8 points, a testament to the depth of the SEMI Rep program.  The year saw top notch goaltending with a combined 1.58 goal against average from the two goaltenders. SEMI outscored their opponents by 44 points over the 19 games, with 5 SEMI players recording over 20 points during the campaign. The boys were equally impressive off the ice, initiating a campaign to raise funds benefiting those affected by the Fraser Valley floods. They collected donations at their home games as well as at A2 home games throughout December, from friends and family and from community corporate donations. The team raised over $6,000 for BC Dairy Farmers and the Red Cross and a ceremonial cheque was presented to the Chilliwack U15 A1 team at a Ravens home game in January. This first place result in the regular season allowed for the team to have a bye for the single game play-in round and then they faced Burnaby Minor in the Tier 1 Elite Eight Series, sweeping them in two games. All this success from this 18-man roster, with eight 2nd year players and ten 1st year players, made this team the youngest in a league where most other A1 teams boasted only two or three first year players. The future looks bright indeed. The only tournament planned for the year, was the Pat Quinn at Christmas Break where the Ravens team was seeded to play in the U15 AAA Academy division. But in the end, it was cancelled due to pandemic restrictions. The team will make up for that with a Final Four appearance March 3-7 at South Surrey Arena where they will hopefully earn a spot at the BC Championships in Victoria, which take place March 20-24. PCAHA Final 4 Schedule

  • Saturday March 5th - 6:30pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs Surrey Thunder
  • Sunday March 6th - 8:00pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs Cloverdale Colts

Semiahmoo U13 A1 Ravens  The Semiahmoo U13 A1 Ravens arrive at the 2022 Final 4 as the top ranked team. The team went through the regular season with a record of 19 wins and 1 loss. The Ravens were the winners of the Langley Gil Martin Tournament in November and were also scheduled to play in the Pat Quinn tournament at Christmas and the Quebec International Pee Wee Tournament in February. The team still hopes to attend the rescheduled Quebec event in May. Based on the 1st place record in the regular season, the team received a bye in round 1 of the playoffs, then faced off against the Vancouver Thunderbirds in round 2. The Ravens swept the series with the Thunderbirds to qualify for the Final 4. Head Coach, Matt Erhart, credits a complete team effort for the success this season; different players have had to contribute in key moments leading to victories. He says that to be successful against three tough teams in the Final 4, they will need to play fast and disciplined and all three lines, all six defensemen and goalies to be ready to be at their best. PCAHA Final 4 Schedule
  • Saturday March 5th - 2:45pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs Surrey Thunder
  • Sunday March 6th - 2:15pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs Burnaby Winter Club
  • Monday March 7th - 7:45pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs North Shore Winter Club

Semiahmoo U11 A1 Ravens Semiahmoo U11 A1s start the Final Four as the #2 seed, with a regular season record of 15W-3L-2ties. Technically the Ravens are the defending U11 champions, winning the 2020 Championship Banner, the last one before COVID postponements cancelled the 2021 event. As the only team to beat Burnaby Winter Club this year, the Ravens look to take the championship against three very formidable opponents. The Ravens start with a matchup against the number 3 seed, North Shore Winter Club, as we look to shut down Goaltender, Kenzo Gibson, followed by the feisty #4 seed Ridge Meadows U11s who are well balanced top to bottom. The Final matchup March 6th against BWC could be for all the marbles, stopping Tegan Dernisky and Gareth Dykens will be the challenge. The Ravens defense anchored by Eli Vickers looks to be up to the task, along with Dmytro Makogonsky and Aarun Parmar tending the nets. Ravens forwards will look for a balanced three line attack, with Parker McMillan and Ryder Pavlic leading the way. Two recent wins against rival BWC has our birds well prepared to take the Championship, however, they know not to look past NSWC and Ridge Meadows, as they will be ready. PCAHA Final 4 Schedule
  • Friday March 4th - 7:45pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs North Shore Winter Club
  • Saturday March 5th - 3:45pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs Ridge Meadows Rustlers
  • Sunday March 6th - 3:45pm Semiahmoo Ravens vs Burnaby Winter Club

All games at Burnaby Winter Club

They will have to rely on their team speed, clutch scoring, and solid goaltending to knock off any of these tough teams. PCAHA Final 4 Schedule

Most of the teams in the flight were A2 or A3 teams. They entered the playoffs as the 2nd seed in the PCAHA tier 4 playoff, and beat Ridge Meadows 11-2 in the single elimination round, then blitzed Cloverdale in round two scoring 25 goals in the two game sweep. The team enters the Final 4 as the second seed behind Whistler.
