SCOTIABANK SEMIAHMOO RAVENS ALUMNI PRO-AM MAY 9 & 10

The Semiahmoo Ravens Minor Hockey Association is excited to announce the first annual Scotiabank Semiahmoo Ravens Alumni Pro- taking place next month, May 9, 10 and 11 at South Surrey Arena and Way Back Brew Co. 

Proceeds raised from the event will go to support KidSport Surrey/White Rock, The Canucks Autism Network, The Peninsula Community Foundation, and Semiahmoo Minor Hockey. 

Teams will be comprised of six Ravens alumni teams captained by members of different generations and will compete in a competition to raise the most funds for the noted charities with the NHLers being drafted in order of highest fundraising team to lowest.  Each team will play two games over the course of the weekend with the top two teams competing for the title, and bragging rights, Saturday evening – all games will be played at South Surrey Arena.  All the games will be open to the public and there will be a family skate taking place Sunday from 2pm – 3pm to wrap up the weekend celebration of hockey in our community.

Already the event has confirmed the following NHL Alumni to participate: Matt Cooke, Jim Vandermeer, Dave Tomlinson, Anthony Peluso, Mike Brown, and Colton Gillies.  In addition to the games, there will be an NHL Alumni draft at Way Back Brew Co, presented by MNP, where participating Ravens alumni players can draft one NHL Alumni member in order based on their fundraising efforts.
