RETURNING Player
Registration

  • Returning player registration opens on May 1 and will remain open until all divisions are full, or until the new season starts, whichever comes first.

  • To register, players need to click the Registration button below and login and complete the process thru Team Snap.

  • Players who played with Semiahmoo Minor Hockey in the past but did not participate int he most recent minor hockey season are considered new players and must submit a new player registration package.

New Player
Registration

  • New player registration opens on May 15 and will remain open until all divisions are full, or until the new season starts, whichever comes first.

  • All new player registration packages must be e-mailed to info@semiahmooravens.ca in one (1) singular PDF. Do not send images as they will not be accepted.

  • The subject of the e-mail should be formatted as follows:
    BIRTH YEAR - LAST NAME, FIRST NAME

  • Early or incomplete registration packages will be discarded and not accepted.

STEPS FOR
NEW Player REGISTRATION

  1. Confirm Eligibility: confirm that you reside within Semiahmoo Minor Hockey’s residential boundaries: CLICK HERE TO VIEW

  2. Review & Accept Policy Information: review and sign the Semiahmoo Minor Hockey refund policy and submit with registration package.

  3. Complete PCAHA Player Registration Form: fill out Form 141-PCAHA

  4. Include Birth Certificate: ensure a copy of your player’s birth certificate is included in your registration package.

  5. Include Proof of Residency: ensure that at least three (3) proof of residency documents with mother and/or father’s name and address are included in registration package.

    1. ONE of the following full-page statement (first page only) can be used: BC Hydro or Fortis Gas. If you are leasing your residence and do not pay for your utilities directly, you can provide one of the following bills as reference: phone, cable, or internet.

    2. TWO of the following full-page statements (first page only): City of White Rock or City of Surrey utilities bill, BC MSP invoice, bank or credit card statement, car insurance and corresponding driver’s licences, property insurance, property tax bill, income tax assessment, child tax credit, or school registration confirming address.

    3. All proofs of residency must be current and show one of the parent’s full name and address.

  6. Application for Player Movement: if you are transferring from another association, you must complete the Application for Player Movement and have it signed by your previous association. All player movements are charged a $25.00 administration fee.

  7. Registration Fee: once your registration documentation is received and processed by our office, you will receive a link via e-mail to complete your registration online. You must complete this online portion and payment in order to have your registration confirmed. You will have the option to pay online by credit card or e-transfer. Please note that this process can take 2-4 weeks to complete for new players whereas international students or players moving associations can take 2-4 months.

If your child was born outside of Canada you may also need to complete the following.

  • Permanent Residents of Canada or Canadians Born Abroad: If your player is a permanent resident of Canada or is a Canadian that was born abroad, please supply the above required docs (P.C.A.H.A. Registration form, copy of birth certificate, 2 x proof of residency as per requirements above) and each of the following:

    • IIHF Unlimited Transfer Card Request: complete even if player did not play in another country

    • Under 18 Player Transfer Application LOA: complete even if player did not play in another country

    • US to Canada LOA Transfer

    • Provide child’s permanent resident card or certificate of Canada citizenship

    • Copy of valid passport

    • Confirmation of primary medical insurance (Personal Health Number or Care Card)

  • International Students: if the child is in Canada on a Student Visa, please supply the above required docs (P.C.A.H.A. Registration form, copy of birth certificate, two items that validate proof of residency as per requirements above) and each of the following:

    • IIHF Unlimited Transfer Card Request: complete even if player did not play in another country

    • Under 18 Player Transfer Application LOA: complete even if player did not play in another country

    • US to Canada LOA Transfer

    • Copy of current passport

    • Copy of valid study visa or permit that is dated until the end of the hockey season and school year

    • Confirmation of school registration for the current school year and hockey season

    • Confirmation of primary medical insurance (Personal Health Number or Care Card)

PLEASE NOTE: that registration fees do not include individual team fees and do not include the rep tryout fees, which are additional. Rep tryouts are optional; if you declare your intent to tryout during registration, this fee is non-refundable. International students are not eligible to play or tryout for rep hockey.

 FAQs

  • No, the fees outlined above are just for registration and it does not include team specific fees for tournaments and other team specific expenses. Fees can range from less than $100.00 per person to upwards of $4500.00 per person pending the team and division. U7-U9 and U11-U18 Recreational C teams can expect lower team fees, where rep teams can expect fees that are higher.

  • Rep tryouts are optional. If you declare your intention to tryout for rep hockey, the tryout fee is non-refundable.

  • Yes, if you register for rep tryouts after August 1, you will be charged an additional $100.00
